“CPI PLUS” Dolomite
Soil and water condition adjuster of high quality.
“CPI PLUS” Dolomite is a soil amendment that provides essential nutrients such as calcium and magnesium, which are crucial secondary nutrients required by oil palm trees. These nutrients help maintain soil pH at an optimal level, facilitating root uptake of chemical fertilizers applied annually. This ensures that oil palm trees receive all 9 essential nutrients they need for consistent high yields: • Primary nutrients N, P, K • Secondary nutrients S, Ca, Mg • Trace nutrients B, Cu, Zn Other nutrients are naturally present in the soil or can be supplemented through organic materials such as palm fronds, empty fruit bunches, or compost added to the plantation.
Here are the benefits of using “CPI PLUS” Dolomite:
- Soil Conditioning for Crop Cultivation: It adjusts soil pH levels, crucial for optimizing acidity and alkalinity for plant growth.
- Nutrient Supply to Plants: “CPI PLUS” Dolomite provides essential nutrients like calcium and magnesium, addressing deficiencies in the soil and supporting plant health.
- Soil and Pond Water Adjustment: It aids in adjusting soil and pond water conditions, ensuring they are conducive to healthy growth, particularly beneficial for aquaculture.
- Slow Nutrient Release: The gradual release of nutrients helps reduce nutrient loss and enhances fertilizer efficiency over time.
- Soil Improvement: It addresses soil issues such as acidity (acidic soils), soil degradation, erosion, and long-term agricultural use, restoring soil fertility and health.
- Enhanced Absorption and Cation Exchange Capacity (CEC): “CPI PLUS” Dolomite improves soil’s nutrient absorption and CEC, enhancing its ability to retain and exchange nutrients effectively.
These is benefits of “CPI PLUS” contribute to healthier plants, improved agricultural productivity, and sustainable soil management practices.
Recommendation: It is not advisable to mix “CPI PLUS” Dolomite with other fertilizers because dolomite has a high alkaline content. Mixing dolomite with other fertilizers, especially nitrogen-based fertilizers, can potentially convert nitrogen compounds into volatile ammonia gas, leading to nutrient loss from the soil. Therefore, it is recommended to apply dolomite separately, spreading it on one side, and apply other fertilizers, especially nitrogen-based ones, on the foliage without directly overlaying them onto dolomite.
